MILESTONES 2010 January: The Poul Due Jensen Foundation donates 20 pump systems to the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The Group's staff collect DKK 750,000 for the people affected by the Haiti earthquake. The Grundfos company Peerless in the USA opens a new factory in Houston, Texas. Grundfos Korea celebrates its 20th anniversary. SGS, the biggest certification company in the world, makes Grundfos a preferred partner in the field of pump and energy advice. Positive annual accounts for 2009 despite the world financial crisis. A decision to create a central Financial Shared Service Centre for Europe is announced. The Grundfos Supplier Award is conferred on power module manufacturer Fairchild. Group Chairman Niels Due Jensen celebrates his 50th anniversary. Grundfos in Germany celebrates its 50th anniversary and the establishment of The Niels Due Jensen Foundation to promote self-sufficiency through schools and higher education. The Grundfos Prize for 2010 is awarded to Professor Per Halkjær Nielsen at the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering at Aalborg University in Denmark. Grundfos donates DKK 200,000 to the Danish Red Cross to assist with the flood rescue efforts in Pakistan. Separate apps are launched for the iPhone and iPad, and www.grundfos.com is relaunched. The first Water2Life installation is opened. A village in Kenya is given its own water supply system thanks to funds collected among Grundfos staff.
