INSTRUCTIONS TO IDENTIFY AFFECTED MOTORS 1: Verify that your motor looks similar to this – the motor is typically combined with hydraulics to form a pump: 2: SWITCH OFF THE MOTOR AND DISCONNECT IT FROM ITS ELECTRICAL POWER SOURCE 3: Check the nameplate: In the top left corner, circled in blue, you find information on the motor type (e.g. MGE). Under P.C. (circled in yellow) you can see the production period. In this example 1724, meaning 2017, week 24. Under ‘Output’ you find information about motor output and speed (circled in black is kW, circled in red RPM) 4: Compare your motor type and output values to the ones specified in the chart: 5: The product must be inspected and possibly replaced if type and output values of the product matches the chart e.g. if your motor is MGE 2.2kW running at 1450-2200 rpm or MLE 5.0HP running at 2900 – 4000 rpm.
