GRUNDFOS PROJECTS IN KENYA GRUNDFOS KENYA GRUNDFOS Kenya Staff Grundfos Kenya was established as a subsidiary of the Grundfos Group in the year 2012 with the purpose of strengthening the Grundfos presence in the East and Central African region. From our premises in Nairobi we make the whole palette of Grundfos products and solutions accessible to present and future customers in the region. With Kenya in general and Nairobi in particular being a hub of commercial activities in our region, we have a special focus on advanced pumping solutions for hotels, shopping malls and office complexes, but we are also a competence centre for the well known Grundfos LIFELINK water supply concept for rural and informal settlements. A modern workshop with test and repair facilities for a wide range of submersible, drainage and booster pumps ensures that our clients can always rely on getting the best and most reliable service. Furthermore, Grundfos Kenya has been appointed the Competence Centre for GRM (Grundfos Remote Management) in Sub-Saharan Africa. From here our expert engineer teaches African clients how the world’s most advanced remote pump management and control system can help them save energy and improve their business. THE GRUNDFOS GROUP GRUNDFOS Headquarter Founded in Denmark in 1945 by the young enthusiastic engineer Poul Due Jensen who invented his own water pump for a local farmer, Grundfos has over the years developed into a global leader in advanced pump solutions and a trendsetter in water technology. Through 83 companies we are directly accessible in 56 countries worldwide where approximately 18,500 employees take a pride in helping people moving water to where it is needed, using as little energy as possible. Our Headquarter, R&D Centre and main factory is still in the small Danish town of Bjerringbro where the founder started but today we also have development and production facilities in many other countries including USA, Hungary, China, India and Russia. GRUNDFOS robotics at work. We produce more than 16 million pumps a year and spend around 5% of our annual turnover on research and development of new innovative products and solutions. Energy efficient pumps are a key to environmental sustainability and for this reason Grundfos has developed and produced its own electronic pump components since 1991. No matter where in the world you meet Grundfos, our slogan ”be think innovate” is the guiding star for every employee. ”Be” means being responsible for minimizing our environmental footprint by offering sustainable solutions, ”think” means thinking ahead and ”innovate” means constantly improving products and services to meet the needs of our customers. 2
