Grundfos LIFELINK is an overall solution for sustainable water supply in rural and peri-urban communities in developing countries. The solar panel driven SQ Flex pump provides clean water from the underground. The water is stored in an elevated tank and dispensed from the automatic tapping unit. The system is equipped with an automatic smartcard payment system, ensuring full revenue TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE Grundfos employees from all over the world have joined forces to help provide sustainable water supplies to developing countries. D id you know that more than 1 billion people do not have access to clean water? Clean water is the most essential human need, and the basic foundation for a good life. Grundfos brings Water2Life is an opportunity for our employees to make a big difference. With the Water2Life campaign, Grundfos will provide access to clean water for some of the world’s poorest people. We start off in Kenya from 2010 to 2012. The goal of Water2Life is that 16,000 Grundfos employees will give water to 16,000 people in Kenya within the next two years. The first communities to benefit from this programme will be in the district of Isiolo in central Kenya From 2013 we will implement water projects in another country and region, e.g. in Asia. In partnership with Danish Red Cross, Grundfos employees’ contribution will be sent to Kenya where sustainable water projects based on the Grundfos LIFELINK system will be implemented. The Water2Life programme builds on a unique partnership between two strong organisations, each doing what they are best at. Grundfos and Grundfos employees contribute with the Grundfos LIFELINK water system and Danish Red Cross contribute with their expertise in development work and water projects.
