Looking ahead from a solid base Dear colleague Welcome to 2018. The year is already well underway. And I am confident it will be a good one. A year which gives us ample opportunity to shape our future, and also to look back on some of the things that make us unique. This year we celebrate 50 years of social responsibility. Half a century ago, we opened the first flexi-workshop. Since the beginning, our commitment has grown in step with society and its needs, and has flowed out of our core values. To this day it remains something that benefits the world around us, marks us apart from our competitors and makes Grundfos a good workplace, which we can all be proud to represent. We are constantly developing, and already have several new goals in sight. We aim to boost our regions by reorganising things, we are intensifying our focus on delivering top quality products, and we are working to become even faster at designing the solutions of the future. We will do this our way, with respect for our strengths and qualities, and by identifying the improvements required to create the best products. Our customers have to be confident that we supply products of the highest quality, that can address the problems they are facing. We must set the bar high for our product and concept development. We must not be satisfied with less than the best, as we do not want our customers and partners to have to be. We will continue to take responsibility through the way we work. We will continue our efforts to promote sustainable development, embracing the communities we are part of, and taking responsibility to address some of the global challenges related to water and energy. I believe that if we continue to develop in step with society – and in line with our values – we can make 2018 and the years ahead as good as 2017. Or perhaps even better.
