Common past Strong future Dear colleague An era is over. In a nutshell. I am, of course, referring to Niels Due Jensen’s decision to retire from active service at Grundfos. He announced his resignation as Chairman of the Board of the Poul Due Jensen Foundation to coincide with his 75th birthday. His significance to our company cannot be overstated. For it has simply been invaluable. His foresight has helped secure our position as a leader in our industry, for example by seeing the potential of introducing electronic control into pumps before everyone else. His own and his family’s values and world view have helped shape the way we work, and have made social responsibility something we practise, not just something we talk about. As a result, we set high standards in everything we do. And will continue to do so. This is the foundation that will help ensure we carry on in the same direction. That we continue to create new products and solutions for our customers. Solutions that create new opportunities and markets. And that we continue to strive for even better results, despite the fact – in all modesty – that we have already done extremely well. This self-respect must also help take us even further. It must drive us towards exceptional quality in everything we do. It must ensure we are capable of seeing the big ideas, and putting them into action. And it must ensure that we can together make Grundfos even better and stronger. Our past provides a solid and invaluable foundation for our common future. Enjoy your reading.
