DEAR READER, 2015 marked 40 years since the Poul Due Jensen Foundation was founded and 40 since Grundfos became a foundation owned enterprise. The Poul Due Jensen Foundation decided to mark this special anniversary by issuing its first dedicated annual report. The annual report marks another step in the evolution of the Foundation and the environment surrounding it. Philanthropy is central to the Foundation. We seek to create a change for socially vulnerable groups in Denmark by supporting projects that increase inclusion in society and the labour market. We also seek to bring clean drinking water to a number of rural communities in the developing world that struggle to access it. Finally, the Foundation strives to support science and research in Denmark. Over the years, it has awarded more than 10 scientists with the Grundfos Prize. However, without Grundfos, there would be no philanthropy. Active and responsible ownership of Grundfos is thus our foundation. We impose long-term expectations on the Grundfos Group of companies, the Grundfos Holding Board of Directors and Group Management to push them towards a holistic agenda that goes beyond financial targets. The Foundation also brings active commitment and interaction to the table through the Grundfos Prize, scholarships and innovation awards each year. We are proud of our ownership and hope to inspire the active ownership agenda in the wider society. The Foundation has sown many seeds in 2015 and we will continue to do so in the future. In the years to come, we will focus on deepening our co-operation with our beneficiaries, Grundfos and the wider community to help build a more sustainable World. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Poul Jensen Foundation, we would like to thank our stakeholders for the fine and fruitful cooperation in 2015. We look forward to continuing to make a real difference to Grundfos employees and communities around the world. Niels Due Jensen Chairman Christian Hartvig Executive Director
