News From The Grundfos World Setting new goals with the launch of Grundfos 2019 sustainability report 2019 was a momentous year for Grundfos. Strategy 2025 was rolled out to enunciate the company’s purpose as “pioneering solutions to the world’s water and climate challenges and improving quality of life for people”. One of these goals was to reduce our water consumption and CO emissions by 50% by 2025, as compared with 2008 levels. Some of the 2019 sustainability report’s highlights: • Reductions of 10.4% since 2018 and 41% compared with baseline (2008) • Energy consumption was reduced and CO2 by 9.4% and 12.2% respectively compared with 2018 and 20% and 40% compared to 2008. • Lost-time injuries decreased by 27% while employee satisfaction increased by two points compared to 2018. • As of 2019, 3.2% of Grundfos employees are people with reduced work capacity. • Over the past year, Grundfos reduced its CO2 emissions by 12.2%, our energy consumption by 9.4% and its water consumption by 10.4%, compared to 2018 • Through Grundfos’s business partnerships, approximately 8,50,000 people received access to clean water. • In one Ugandan village where they installed AQTaps, the rate of waterborne diseases hitting children under ve fell by 65%. • Furthermore, employees donated more than 3,90,000 DKK to employee-driven programme, the Water2Life, which is currently bringing clean water to communities in need in Honduras.
